Not necessarily a buyout but if they merge spd into wylie, then it essentially is a takeover

That’s actually how a lot of takeovers happen. They tell everyone nothing will change. Wait a year or so then BAM. Everything changes.

I think you have unrealistic expectations for trucking. I had a pretty stress free experience tanking and made good money. It even landed me a spot with the legendary Chicago pipefitters union. The problem is that you aren’t committing to being a top driver. I took the most dangerous shipments and kept up a perfect record. I respected my customers. I never got short with dispatch. I got experience with all types of hazmat and ran NE during the winter. And on top of that I didn’t take anyone’s #### and studied the pipefitter entrance exam. And now I’m set to make double my driver salary. If you quit jobs instead of graduating from them, you don’t get anywhere. All employers suck. Office isn’t any better. Just a fraction of the pay.

    1. SSB wanted nothing whatsoever to do with Wylie, a subsidiary of Daseke.

    2. SSB took a job with SPD, a subsidiary of Daseke.

Why would one have taken the job with SPD in the first place?

Let's see- SSB had a job that he enjoyed 95% of the time, Wylie took over and gave him the high hard one. He now has a job that he likes 95% of the time, Wylie is becoming involved/ taking over. Why would he think this would be different? Free lube???
