Yep, they sure did. I think somebody broke their crystal ball...:biggrin_25516:

It just kills me to hear the media and the politicos tell us the recession is over...:biggrin_25510:

The problem is that it is and it isn't.

It is not a ususal recession, and the recovery is not like it should be. I think the bank stimulus need has had a strange effect on it.

and I wonder what these crystal ball readers predicted as things were going down the tubes? Too bad they don't report their batting averages on prior history!

If the fuel islands the past couple of weeks have been any indication, there are at least more trucks on the road. Everywhere my wife and I have been the trucks are 2 and 3 deep on every pump at all hours of the day.

Christmas inventory being delivered. Give it a few weeks and things will slow again.

Also Jan 1, 2010 no pre 2004 rigs in the ports of Cali and according to my latest issue of Heavy Duty Trucking....This will move east......

In the long run this will clean up a lot of pollution, but in the short term, it will hurt many small operators in a big way.

If rates were where they should be, then the small operator could afford to upgrade, but failure of the small operator is supposed to happen with this plan.
