And another hello.

Been checking out the various post on this forum for the last several days and finally decided that this is one of the better trucker sites that I've stumbled across.

I have to admit that I am quite new to the trucking industry, in fact I start my classes March 16th and hope to fine direction to go by my Graduation date of April 9th. So far I have three pre-hires, Werner Enterprises, Trans Am Trucking, and Roehl Transport. I've read the good and bad posts on Werner and Roehl but haven't found much on Trans Am yet and am interested in getting some more input on these three Companies. And find out who else is will to take on a greenhorn like me.

My school is already paid for I do not have to worry that part. I've read quite a few times here that I don't want to get into a leasing program before I've been driving a few years. And regardless of where I go that I am likely to be sitting somewhere waiting for my first truck/load after I get down with the companies driver training.

If your wondering. I am a single guy with no kids to worry about anywhere. Don't have any car or house payments to worry about and not affraid to be out away from Michigan for weeks and months at a time.

I like that one. Appreciate the encouraging thoughts and Cybergal. I don't like to advertise for anyone unless I really like the place, product or group then there are simpler means to let people know where to find them.

 

Okay. Had my first class today. Not to bad just need to learn to double-clutch, and where the back end really is at. Think a little practice should fix this. I'll try to keep this up to date as I go here.

 

Another day done. Got the down shifting figured out and think I have the right hand turns down (only took 2 cones out today.)
