Oh man I love a Black Pete! I got stuck with red this time but when this old girl is ready to retire I am going back with Black. Nice setup.

Well a little disappointed at the moment and stressed. On the side of the interstate. System drawing all of the fuel out of the left tank and then returning everything to the right tank. Was reading half tank, started gasping and shut down luckily I was able to get it to the side. Right tank almost full left tank almost empty. Trying to figure away to siphon from the righ to the left to get it somewhere.

Congrats ! Best of luck out there . My first loads seemed so stressful and Made me nervous. It was like jumping off a cliff for me . I'm 3 months in and it's been well worth it . Safe driving

First of many little bugs. You will get past them quick. Leave the caps lose if you can?
Check your roll over vents and vent lines.bulldawg trucker Thanks this. -
Back at home Friday afternoon. 2 loads down. Averaged 2.02 all miles. Not bad for out and back and our dispatcher having to get two loads together. He is going to dispatch us together for about three more weeks then I will get a log in and start learning the system. I think we can get that number up once I break out on my own plus I have a lead on some direct freight and the carrier is working on some stuff as well.
About to work on my numbers now but ruff estimate on fuel mileage is 5.2. We were running hard tho and hit 80 a couple of times.I love Texas. I am going to try to slow it down to about 68 and see how much I can improve it this week.
Dropped trailer two miles from the shop getting loaded. Leaving out tomorrow afternoon to Ohio. Going to see if we can hit 6000 by Friday.
I plan on running out 5 days at a time for now. I don't see how you guys that stay out for months do it. 3.5 days was enough for me lol.
The bad for the week:
Fuel tank Vent not venting. Ordered $25 part and venting threw the cap for now seemed to work until he can get the part.
Water pump started weeping. Getting that replaced today. Don't want to be stranded or over heat my baby. lol I will post up my expenses and possibly revenue shorty.
Man I'm glad I don't have truck payment at this point and can pay myself back over time or I might be sweating it a little more than I already am. The owner of the company keeps telling me not to be so worried but man until this smooths out my nerves are shot!! More to come! Thanks guys.Last edited: Aug 5, 2017

You sir are most articulate trucker I have seen. Good luck and will follow your adventure. No truck payment is a huge deal, especially when starting out. I was relieved when I got mine payed of. Not fancy Pete just plain Century, but it keeps me rolling
