I never had service with sprint and verizon in WV. Cross in to PA though and service was immediate. That was a few years ago though.

Having had Sprint side by side with Verizon,.. and going to the out of the way places that I go. Verizon is the best option.

T-Mobile and Sprint together still wont have 70% of the coverage area that Verizon has. No carrier has the coverage area that Verizon has,.. its not a matter of price to me. I pay more to have the best. My business depends on being able to communicate when and where ever I am.

Sprint can not meet my needs. And T-Mobile alone is a joke for OTR. No brain washing here. Just personal experience.

My Verizon bill is $98 a month,.. every month. Unlimited plus plan. And being a business expense,.. I just write it off.

I have Verizon and their customer service is a joke to me. I love their service coverage area,.. but loath having to call them for anything.

ATT is the next best option for OTR,.. one thing that kills ATT for me is their unlimited plan. Like Verizon,.. once you go over their allotted hotspot limit,.. they cut you back. Verizon is bad enough cutting them back to 600 kb/s. But,.. ATT and Sprint cut you down to 128 kb/s. I nearly choked when I saw that. Thats pretty much almost old dial up speeds. I dont see how anyone could even open a web page much less check the weather with a 128 kb/s wifi connection to their laptop. Deal breaker for me.

Hopefully after 5G becomes the defacto standard and becomes 100% integrated,.. I'm hoping Verizon and ATT lift their caps,.. or eliminate them. I'd even go so far as to pay a little more for a truly unlimited service.

I have unlimited, and I get the warning at around 16gb that I'm going to be throttled (I think it's at 20), but I really don't notice much of a difference. It's definitely not that slow. I use around 50gb every month, sometimes more. I use my phone and tablet as GPS and my logbook, general surfing and youtube, and the other phone on my plan watches movies and never heard a complaint there either. I dunno, maybe I'm special

I have sprint, had it for years. When I’m not on sprint towers, I am on extended service which is Verizon towers. Both use CDMA tech. AT&T & T-Mobile use GSM. I’ve ran all over and as long as there is Sprint or Verizon towers, I have service. Only difference is I have 4 phones all unlimited for $150/mo. I’m satisfied. I tried to switch to Verizon once, and they couldn’t even come close on price. Yes it’s a write off, but I still don’t like giving money away. That being said, I’m not brand loyal on cell service. I go for the best service for the best price. Just for me that’s Sprint. For others it’s verizon. As long as you are happy as a consumer, that’s all that matters. I personally am excited about the merger if it means better service and price.

Could be like me and Verizon,.. I hear everyone else complain,.. yet I dont notice any kind of throttling or slowdowns.

I was looking into all the unlimited packages from other carriers and when I read that ATT throttles back to 128 kb/s I was like,.. #####,.. oh hell no.

Much of the problem with service issues at any carrier is the phone itself. Not the carrier. I've had 2 phones in my truck on the same carrier, and had varying service experiences because of different phones. All phones are not created equall.
I have had sprint, altell, AT&T, and verizon. I currently went cheap and got cricket. Works better than my verizon service did, at least in all the areas I have been the last several months. And it's only 90 a month for me, wife and son. Taxes and fees all included. Works for me.

Thought that also. A year or so ago went to cricket, which is i think a division of at&t. Lots less than $verizon. Not much difference in either one.

    ATT owns cricket.

There's a list on the internet somewhere. Of who owns what. And who runs on what service. Most of those secondary companies are owned by 1 of the 4 carriers. And there was a lot of secondaries i never even heard of.
