Well, shortly after my last post, they did come up with something better.
Ended up immediately pulling myself together and running over to Aurora to pickup a load of recycling products and heading back to Stockton area where I will drop, pick up an empty and head back home.
This is definitely not the same as I was doing. With the Ashley PTP (ADS) we run a tighter circle of frieght, servicing our drop yards etc.
I can see over here at Ashley PNW it is a bit more of a stretch to circle back as easily as it was. That is Understandable, though, the jury is still out, on, if this is going to work out for me.
Keep on rocking it!

I was reading your thread, and I know your in the PNW division.. but have you heard anything about the NE Regional Ashley division? Looking into companies to possibly go to, and they come up on my search for my area.

Okay, well here's a quick update. I been running with no cruise control for the last 4 days. Not my favorite thing to do to say the least.
My experience with these volve's tells me that is thier favorite thing to do is..., finding ways to cut the cruise control off.Lol.. it's wierd. Sensor goes out..shuts cruise off, needs an update, shuts the cruise off.. get a truck wash, shuts the cruise off.. oh well!!
That's just trucking!!Rugerfan, Speed_Drums and Lonesome Thank this. -
Got back to the yard and put the truck in the shop again.
Not only was the cruise not working, there seemed to be something going on with the steering. It just didn't seem to hold to the road like it should.
After talking with one of my go too mechanics, (you know that one mechanic in the shop that takes pride in his work and actually gets things done!) he said the steer shocks were bad plus I had been noticing that one of the front end air bags seemed to leak out over night. So he will take a look at that too.

Well I'm heading home tomorrow after a somewhat strange and stressful week. Strated off picking up a beer load in Van Nuys at 5am so I had to start my shift at
2am.Not what I'm use to.
Then after delivery the next day in Stockton, ended up waiting around most of the day, only to, last minute, go get loaded without having much time on my clock.
This is their attempt to mimic what Ashley ADS does to keep us near home so we can be home on the weekends.
The only difference is it actually works for ADS because they are using us to service their drop yards and distribution centers in surrounding regions to deliver products to the stores and homes.
Anyways we will see what happens. Ashley PNW, Is not a bad place but it's not like what we do. They service over the road typ network of frieght
Keep on rocking!Bumper, drvrtech77, Joho444 and 1 other person Thank this. -
