So, another twisted turn of events. As it turns out I am staying here at AshleyPNW.

Last few weeks I actually have been making more money.

Obviously Ashley ADS, for whatever reason was slow rolling my return. They said it was because the lanes they had me on were given away to someone else, they couldn't afford to do them right now because of lack of back hauls. Plus, they said i was a "go getter" that didn't mine running longer hauls. Whatever reason I'm not taking it personally.

If they can't put me back, don't want to, or whatever, I figured I would focus on PNW and see if they could get my pay corrected. That was the biggest problem.

For those that don't know, our pay structure here at ADS has a lot of moving parts so it conflicted with PNW's straight per mile pay.

Finally after a few discussions with payroll and other mangers I think they got it fixed, except for the safety bonus and they said they are working on that.

    More to come, gotta run.

    What a freaking day..

I had a load out of Van Nuys that delayed me 6hrs.

When I got to the delivery in Sacramento the next day I was 4 hours late, of course i told them i was going to be late and dispatch said no problem they will work you in.

But... when i got there it was a big fat No, instead, they rescheduled the load for 7 am the NEXT morning :biggrin_2552:.

Ashley couldn't get coverage right away so I had to wait. Few hours later they said they got coverage had me go back to our drop yard 60 miles and drop that load to pick up my other load to Washington.

I did my drop and hook and then went to get fuel, while fueling I noticed a message saying, "sorry Andrew we couldn't get coverage, you need to deliver that load tomorrow "

    OMG!!

So I took the Washington load back and picked up my original

By that time, it was after 8pm so if I did a 10hr break I would be late again for the 7am .. fuggg!!

So then, my experience kicked in and I realized with all the sitting I did that day, there was time to do a split sleeper (8hr rest) so I could get up and make delivery on time.

Definitely not my favorite thing to do, but heck, someone's gotta getter done.......!

    Be safe :D

Scale weight to close to call. Ugghhh. No room to move the tandems back. Fuel at 1/4 tank. The scale was down at the place I picked it up.. Those MO.. fuggers

I could play around with the fifth wheel and get it adjusted but as soon as I put fuel in I'm over gross.

I'm going to try and get off this load if possible. This week has been crazy..

No, it's still the same, or probably higher sense you left. What you are seeing is the reweigh price. Typically $13 for the first and $3 for the reweigh now.

Over weight update: They had me return to the shipper and get it fixed.

Really cool bunch of guys in the shipping department at this paper place. They got right on it and took a roll off the back.

They also alerted me of a on site working scale. Frigging guard last night said there wasn't any.

So I checked it at their scale and moved on. Also got a Cat scale printed just encase I have to rely this load.

I heard Ashley is starting a Lease Purchase Program. Any word on that, that you know of? Sounds like some managers from the Wilson Logistics purchase are already starting to bring the "mega carrier" type attitude/programs to a once private fleet.

Hey, Ive been in contact with a recruiter for an otr postion out of advance, NC....they offered my 52 cpm with no bonuses but plenty of miles. This seems a little low to me. I check on the website and they were offering an average of 60 cpm for ptp postions....I read a little bit of this thread and it seems you like it there, but the benefits dont seem to outweigh the low pay. Can you give me a little insight as to why you feel its worth pursuing a job with Ashley?
