Andrew's Trucking Journey Continues

Heading back to Redlands in Southern California. Going good thanks

 

While finishing up my weekend at home, received my dispatch for Monday and it's a relay load to Henderson CO.

As a PTP driver we mostly service the drop yards in our region for the LTL drivers in that area. Henderson is one of those drop yards.

Should be a nice run up there and possibly come back with a backhaul. We will see.

So far so good. Doesn't appear to be any snow coming in today on my current route.

Trucked it from Redlands to Salina yesterday.
Should make it to delivery today.

Right now they have me on a DH back. That can change but I will have to wait and see.

Forecast is calling for snow in the Rockies tomorrow on I70 through Vail etc. So... I will be planning my escape route to go the long way around..back to Redlands. : )

 

So today Colorado is going to get hit with coldest temperatures ever recorded -50.

Nice.. Guess where I'm at? Yep .. Denver CO.

Oh boy... This should be interesting. Got to go pickup a backhaul this morning and hopefully get as far south as possible.

The mountains are already snow covered so I'm going to try and escape down the I25 to the 40

They just moved to a new terminal up there so that might have something to do with it.

I would call payroll through or main dispatch number and ask them where they are.

We pickup our stubs in our mailbox in the driver's lounge, and get paid through direct deposit, unless you arrange something different ?

I been doing well down here in the South West they are keeping us busy.

Also, I would reach out to my dispatch if the driver is not getting enough work. Squeaky wheel gets the attention if you know what I mean.

Whenever I ask to go on a long haul so I can make some extra money they send me out.
