    As I sit here stewing over the fact that I'm sitting with a whopping 500 miles so far for the week, the unanswered/unconcerned Qualcomm messages mounting, my whopping 27.5cpm seemingly mocking me as I look at my lone trip sheet for the week, and the calender eerily chuckingly as if to say..."You still got two more months before you hit a year." I wondered what some of you guys Angriest Moments/situations/messages with a dispatcher was. The building rage in me brought on this topic lol.

    I would type out page after page of Qualcom message only to delete before sending..
    somehow it made me feel better..

    I realized as you maybe have begun too that they don't care..
    and would only glance at the message and briefly read it looking for the subject and then delete message w out so much a s a response/reply..

    Boy. I sure don't miss those days at all!!

    Good luck to you.

    Somebody should write a book that is nothing but real-quote messaging back and forth between driver and office. would make for some entertaining reading.

    Blacktop Junkie: Who do you work for that only gives you those kinds of miles?

    that would be interesting to see.

    as for the op, there's nothing preventing you from looking for work, NOW.

    the obstacle i found though, when i first started out. was trying to be home when someone called. usually when they call, they want someone who can come in for a test drive and start the job. not waiting till the applicant makes it home whenever that might be.

    yep, i went jobless 4 weeks. but i was also looking for local work. and job searches didn't have the same resources that are available today.

    At the end of my time with FFE I had weeks that went that way, and there was also the constant arguments with payroll because they "didn't get my receipts" and would deduct them from my check 2 weeks later.
    FFE= Frequently f*d employees.

    Yep we all sure have been there. At my previous company at least once a month I was in one of those situations and I always typed out a response ( or several versions of one ) but luckily I always deleted them before I had the poor judgement to send them lol it only would have made whatever bad situation or idiot I was dealing with worse.

    Luckily i I landed at a company now where they frown upon those computer messages and would rather do things over the phone and the dispatch/backhaul people always answer and do their best to address issues......and we have an open plan dispatch/safety where we can walk in and talk to anyone at any time and interaction is promoted whenever you're at the main building rather than having an adversarial climate where they hide behind glass and a locked door.

    Good luck to you. There are sure better gigs out there than having to deal with those kinds of miles.

    Yea big change at FFE in those last days before I told them it was parked out front. They went from an open floor plan upstairs to bulletproof glass and locked doors.
