Welcome to trucking. Why were you fired again?
-
If they fired you, why would you bring them their truck. You tell them to go fart themselves.
drvrtech77 and jeepnut_nh Thank this. -
Typical trucking company, they just wanted their trk back. But in a way that's a good thing.Had they come and got their trk,you would have also got marked with abandonment. But you should check in a month or so to make sure its not on your DAC.
-
Whoa, slow down there.......so much information to take in.
-
Since the van blew up no way to get their trk back so they used this driver that's what my guess would be.
Truckergirl0720 Thanks this. -
I'm wondering why he was fired in the first place. You have to screw up bad to be fired on your hometime and they send somebody for your truck.
precisionpower, tow614, Truckergirl0720 and 1 other person Thank this. -
So what's the rest of the story?
precisionpower, tow614 and Truckergirl0720 Thank this. -
Some company policies state if truck sits two days, truck can be taken, including company joseph works for. Doesn't mean driver is fired, necessarily, just definitely truck-less. There are posts here of drivers who left truck at terminal with their gear in it, got back from hometime and truck is on down the road with all their gear, too.
That they fired her when she brought it back to terminal is just low. Gordon just 'fired' a driver--sort of. He gave 10 day notice and was called in to terminal and told his resignation was effective that day. Pacific sounded surprised about it and is looking into it, or so I was told.
While mine was in shop, told to take another truck that had been brought in. Still had driver's stuff in it or what was left of it and dirty inside. Found new Carhartt jacket, sleeping bag, pillows. blankets, clothes, etc. in the dumpster that I suspect from same truck. No one throws out a brand new Carhartt jacket. That truck was taken from some driver. -
Here's PTL's terrible CSA: http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=48KxwPUoUV9hh0n4bJIhTA==
Driver probably should have fired PTL long time ago... 84.6% Driver Safety, 70.8% Vehicle Maintenance, HOS is up to 41.4%.
Good example of company NOT to drive for, IMO.jldilley, Dna Mach and jeepnut_nh Thank this.
