    They are idiots alright.

    They are not protesters at all, just plain lawbreaking, I can think of a bunch of reasons the Law needs to be brought in and clear the road so that semi can get going. With tickets all around to the idiots.

    Animal hauling has a set of rules, probably dating back to the mid 1800's when we shipped cattle by rail across the USA to meat packing.

    I personally would prefer not to deal with animal hauling, you cannot make the animals sit and bake in a trailer in high summer or freeze while you sleep on your precious sleeper berth time off. It would hurt them.
