Hi guys
I'm new to this forum, I hope you can give me some ideas. About two months ago a yellow warning light started to pop up on my dash saying "check cab controller at next stop". The code details said "%acc pedal position electrical fault". It was coming on for a fraction of a second then it would go away. It didn't bothered me in the beginning but then in time it started to show up more often. Now it's very bad I got to a point where the truck is not drivable anymore. Every time I hit a pothole the warning light comes on and the truck chokes. I took it to the Volvo dealership here in Livonia Michigan, they charged me 700$ and they told me that they fixed some burned wires. Obviously the truck is doing the same thing so I guess that the dealership didn't fix anything. I replaced both the accelerator pedal with sensor and also the signal/cruise control switch. Stil doing the same thing. I am desperate. Here are the codes I get on my dash :
1. MID 128 PID 091 FMI 9
% accelerator pedal position - abnormal update rate#
2. MID 144 PID 091 FMI 3#
Cruise control % accelerator pedal position - Voltage above normal or shorted high#
3. MID 144 PID 091 FMI 4#
Cruise control % accelerator pedal position - Voltage bellow normal or shorted low#
4. MID 144 PID 230 FMI 7
Cruise control % accelerator pedal position - Total idle fuel used - Mechanical system not responding properly or out of adjustment#
Any ideas? Thanks a lot

If you took it in to get it fixed and supposedly they repaired it and it is still doing it, I would take it back to the Volvo Stealership and either tell them to fix it right or refund your money. Your repair is covered under Warranty for 1 year Parts and Labor.

Since it happens everytime you hit a bump or pothole, it sounds like you could have a loose ground wire, check your connections at the battery, starter and frame rail. I had a similar issue years ago and that's what the cause was.

Lol refund from Volvo dealership. That's funny. Joke aside, they may have found corroded wires that probably don't have anything to do with my issue. No dealer in this country will ever give you a refund for electric work.
That's not a bad thing. But that still doesn't fix my problem. -

If you paid with a Credit Card, you can call your Credit Card Company up and dispute the charge because they didn't fix it properly and the charge will be put on hold until the issue is resolved.

Regardless the Repair is still covered Under Warranty whether they say they fixed it or not. Obviously they didn't take it for a Test Drive after the repair to see if the issue was resolved.

Talk to the Service Manager and if don't get the results you want go above them. Be an A-hole, that's what you have to do sometimes to get things done right.

I will go back Monday, I called them today and they said that the mechanic that worked on my truck only comes back to work Monday. I made this thread to see if anybody else had this issue. Because you know what the dealer will say? Oh you need to replace the whole truck harness, 2k the harness and 2 k labor. And I doubt that I need to change all that, I wanna fix the issue that I have not the ones that I don't have
