Today S/B Truck route on I-5/CA 14/I-210 Interchange, I noticed that I was having to share the TRUCK ROUTE with about 30 4-wheelers.
Why do you 4-Wheelers insist on driving in our lanes????
If a driver drives on the the non-routed portion of that interchange, it may result in a huge fine if caught by the CHP...
To top it off....the tunnel where the SAIA truck flipped, was reduced down to one lane and, the 4-Wheelers were cutting off trucks to get into tunnel doing 60+....
The speed limit there is 35....
Again...Why do you 4-Wheelers insist on driving in our lanes????
Another "4-Wheeler Gripe" Thread...

Because they think that they own the road and know that we cant just treat then as speed bumps when they get in the way. I tink that they should start really teaching student drivers (4 wheeler class) about some things on what to do when around a big truck. Heck I even think that they should take the students on a ride by taking out the bunk and putting in seats and let them see what its like. just my $.02
bulldozerbert, luvmyhubby, Working Class Patriot and 6 others Thank this. -
We can't? Oh, man...I think I'm in trouble.

Well that was in the past as long as we learned from it than your OK. What did we learn? Always do it by yourself and nobody else watching. No witnesses. SImple!

Cause everybody knows the truck lanes are the fastest way to get anywhere. Otherwise, why would the gooberment give those lanes over to the trucks? Danged goobermint, giving the best lanes over to the trucks, when I gotta get to the bar before Sally's shirt comes off!

Remember this is California you're talking about, that should explain it there.
longbedGTs and simplyred1962 Thank this. -
My little Subaru runs in truck lanes for the same reason he parks in big truck spaces in rest areas -- sometimes he just likes pretending he's one of the Big Boys. You know, he likes to feel important.
(No, honestly. I don't do it, but I suspect the wrong lane drivers and the misplaced parkers do it for the same reason -- they're inconsiderate and have no clue about big trucks.)shriner75, Working Class Patriot and simplyred1962 Thank this. -
Yeah I know...They save a whole 5 seconds and endanger themselves and truckers as well...
I wish the CHP would sit there and bust them...
Instead, they have to pull-over perfectly safe truckers.... because ticketing a trucker means...more revenue for the state...simplyred1962 and Stroked F550 Thank this. -
It's a tradition!
Back in the early 70's they were intruding on the truck bypass lanes down there...
Good enough for grandpa, Good enough for the current generation of SoCal idiots.
