Ah my old stomping grounds. A quick look at the map shows a lack of situational awareness. I’m guessing he missed his left turn onto 532 and was trying to flip around to go back to it when he could’ve just made a left and another left and been back to 532 if that were the case.

1st and foremost, I want to apologize to Buddyd, I want no enemies here, on a previous post of this nature, he seemed to think I approve of this, and obviously, with over 3 million safe miles, I don't and this is unacceptable. Now, in a dire situation, I think many have done this, and generally, 4 wheelers or other trucks knew you made a mistake, saw a roadblock ahead ( how can you miss a trailer? Not paying attention, that's how.), and we somehow made the swing. I'm not outright blaming either, the truck shouldn't have done that and the 4 wheeler should have seen it. We all know distracted driving in 4 wheelers is huge. possibly a contributing factor here, like in most crashes, but it's unsettling to see, a great, or used to be, company like Publix, only hired the best of the best, usually from within. I even looked into them, but had to start on the dock, in retrospect, something I probably should have done. I spent a lot of time in Fl. and shopped at Publix, even the drivers helped, even though they didn't have to, and I NEVER remember a Publix truck in any incident whatsoever. So this tells me, even a company like Publix, has run out of good drivers, and like most companies today, have to hire what comes along. A sad deal, for sure.
buddyd157, bryan21384 and gekko1323 Thank this. -
Believe it or not, that stretch of highway actually allows legal U-Turns depending on where you are.
Long FLD Thanks this.
