    I put my truck in the shop today for an oil change and to find out what was wrong with the fan for the HVAC in the cab, it only worked on high speed. They called me right before 5 pm to say they were finished but....they found a coolant leak and had to add a gallon of coolant to the truck. They are having a difficult time finding the part that is leaking a drain petcock or something. They have the clamps but the hose and petcock have to be ordered. Before I bought the truck I noticed and called out a concern with all the low coolant codes in the ECM report. I will be going after SFI to pay the entire bill for that repair. I am glad the tech found it and it helps to instill confidence in the shop. Not that I had any concerns. They service all of the NASCAR equipment. They told me it would not be ready tomorrow since they had missed the window to overnight the parts, so maybe Friday I will get it back. Will have to see. Update when I get some info from SFI and the dealer.

    All is going well, passed my orientation, they had me signing everything, got decals in the truck, new front end alignment etc. but they said today they cleared the ECM out despite me asking for it. They said I'd have to talk to finance about seeing the oil sample reports. Not happy about the ECM, but what can I do now....

    Good to hear. Not much can be done if they had already cleared the ecm.

    CW, you should get a scanner and copy machine. For faxing I use Myfax it's only 10 bucks a month. I think every truck owner should have one it comes in handy. If I'm on the road and I need to have something signed. I just get them to email or fax it to me, print it out sign it and send it back. It also help if you keep med card, drivers liscense, SS card and any other important papers on your computer.

    Bull crap even if they cleared the codes they should be able to run the ecm report

    It is completely normal, I got my ECM report prior to...

    Mind you that I was told they completely reset the ECM before passing it on to the next driver. I am assuming that they wiped all of the data from it and started new. I may be wrong and make no guarantees about my statement...Flame me if you must....
