Another Company to IC Choice Thread

LOL I got them to work for ribs smoked on the grill and brats the next night....

 

Easy 1050 miles the last 2 days. Light freight sure does help the fuel mileage. Around 8mpg from NC to TX. Made my delivery this morning near fort worth and a quick deadhead for a live load in fort worth. Will be off to Tennessee in a bit for a live unload tomorrow morning. Should be an easy 500 miles with 8k pounds. Stayed at the Dallas OC last night, what a #### hole. Not much else to report. Glad to be back out after a long week off. Keep the rubber side down...Until Next Time...

So here I sit with a load the customer knows nothing about. I called in yesterday when they asked me to sign my bills and I noticed the stop listed was in West Chicago. What I booked was Millington, Tn. Customer service advise this was a blind shipment and that I was good to follow my work assignment to Tn.

I have another call into my ICA to figure this out. Hopefully they will have it figured out soon. I do know that I am not taking this load to Chicago. I fulfilled my obligation when they said I was good to carry it to Tn. Update later.

 

So a quick update. Now they have found their mistake and the load goes to Chicago. They called and told me to relay it in West Memphis. I asked about my pay for this load, as it should pay what was on the load board. 986. Looks like they are gonna try and screw me on the pay. Will have to wait and see.

 

So another update...

Dropped the load and found an mty. Got paid the full rate when i booked the load and the miles back to the west memphis oc. Did not have to fight or argue one bit. Glad that all worked out. Gonna stay here for awhile my pick up time got changed until tomorrow morning. Apparently the customer does not have the freight ready. So i will roll sometime late tonight up to jackson, mo to grab my 6k pound load.
