T trucker I have a 2012 pete but it wasn't my truck it was the trailer. Something must have come off the road because it broke one line going into chamber and broke the fitting off on the other line. Wound up sitting there for 8 hrs because the people in the TA shop don't listen. I called them before he left and told them that he needed to bring the valve on the front of the air tank as well because the supply line fitting broke there as well. 2 hrs later he shows up and doesn't have the valve so he had to turn around and go back to get it. very frustrating. I made it in to olive branch and dropped this evening and came to west memphis o.c. to pu relay load only to find the trailer is sitting here on the yard and annual inspection is expired so I had to sit in the shop again for an hour to get that taken care of. This one takes me through the house be there tomorrow afternoon (unless something else happens lol) so will be nice to get out of truck for the night.

A troubling day yesterday. I managed to swing through the house to take my 10. Upon starting my truck I got a low coolant alarm and a engine maintenance light. I shut it back down and opened the coolant reservoir and found that I was very low on coolant. This seemed strange to me since the shop had "repaired" a leak they found during my PM service. They had topped off my coolant with 1 gallon after I had run the truck for 40ish days. I took the truck to the SNI shop in Charlotte where they added 2 gallons of coolant. The service was done 8 days ago.
I spoke with the shop in Appleton and got their advice on the issue and after looking at the oil sample from my recent service they saw no coolant in the oil and few wear metals. I was assured that I could finish my week as long as I kept an eye on the coolant level. So I grabbed my load and took off to finish the trip. I stopped 75 miles from the delivery to take a break and when I walked back to my truck I saw a lake of coolant on the ground under my truck. I opened the hood to see if I could identify the leak and saw nothing except the entire exhaust was covered in coolant.
I called the shop in Appleton and explained what I saw and Tom advised that I was finished. He said I needed to go in a shop immediately. Per his advice I grabbed a couple gallons of coolant and finished the load and bobtailed back to Charlotte. I took the truck to the shop this morning and the service manager came out and opened the hood. His exact words "this is not good" His first thought are that I have lost the EGR cooler and the turbo. The turbo as a result of the EGR cooler failure.
Best guess on a time frame for the repairs is middle to late next week. They will be getting into the EGR cooler, turbo, DPF filter, clean air system, and another oil change. Updates to follow when I know more.... -
That Sucks!

Yep first thought was the egr cooler.

One thing to check if u have old school exhaust pipe is to look at the elbow. If it's wet dripping coolent 99% it's the egr cooler.

Wow. Hope it gets fixed quickly. And correctly....
