What are Y'alls averaging per mile for all miles, loaded and empty on the choice side? Does the rate break out the FSC?

There are roughly 1700 IC's on the choice board. As of yesterday that board is averaging $1.62/mi. according to Jill, my ops manager in Charlotte, NC. No one can tell you how much you can expect to make because we don't know what loads you will pick, where you want or like to run. Or how far you are willing to deadhead to get a load. It's all up to you. But the opportunity is there, you just have to be smart about it. I myself can gross $3500 per week and take home just as much as someone that grosses $5500 per week. It all depends on how you run your business.

And that's what I was wondering. I know the variants inherent with location, distance, shipper, weight, etc.
I was comparing with the milage base offered on the bulk side.

There really is no comparison. The mileage side on van or bulk, you still have a dispatcher determining how much or how many miles you get. On choice it's up to you, you make all the decisions.

I am starting the comparison of both programs before I decide to stay milage, or move to choice next year when it becomes available for bulk.

Yeah, I heard rumors about them going to try Choice Bulk. I also heard that they are gearing up to have lots more IC's and less company drivers. We'll see how that goes.

Of course they want more lease operators. They are getting 35% of the rate (according to them) and youre picking up over 90% of the operating cost. Its a win win situation for them. It will be interesting to see how it works in bulk

Also, on the choice board, when you look at a load, the rate per mile shown includes the FSC. That is yours. But, you can go into details of the load and find the breakdown of the linehaul and FSC.

On the choice board can you see who the shipper and con is before you accept the load?
