Yeah I have not updated in awhile. Got the truck back and have been running like mad ever since. I will post an update later today, right now it's bed time.
mickimause Thanks this. -
A smart business person controls their costs it's not about gross it's about the NET income you can achieve by controlling your variable costs in this business . -
So heres the promised update.
Since getting the truck back the coolant leaks have stopped (knocking on wood) I have been running for the last 3 weeks without issue. I have made sure that I open the coolant tank everyday instead of checking the sight glass and the level has remained the exact same ever since I picked the truck back up. I have had to take two 34 hour restarts on the road in the last 2 weeks. Not by choice, but forced to. The first one I took in Atlanta after my appointment got changed, and as luck would have it I took that load through the house for 24 hours. The second on I just finished 2 days ago in Carlisle, sitting there hanging with DFO and meeting ricky bobby and dogals right foot. Had a pretty decent time sitting there, but I was glad that it was over and I was able to get rolling. I personally do not care for restarts on the road. If I am gonna sit I choose to sit at home.
As for revenue the last 3 weeks it has been decent. Last week was a very strong week, and this week is shaping up to be good also. Although as I type this I am sitting in a dock at stop 1 of 3 and they can't get the load to pull up in their computer and will not unload it until it does. Good thing my next load is a wide open window with no cut off times. Hopefully it will not take them much longer to get it unloaded. I am looking forward to some hometime on Monday if everything works out as planned.
In the last couple of weeks I only have one complaint...These old piece of #### trailers. I took a basically new trailer from Carlisle to what was suppose to be a live load. Once there they said the trailer was loaded and they were finishing paperwork. So I ended up with a POS 94 series trailer with no skirts and beat to death. WHY can SNI not get the old piece of #### trailers out of the system....
Believe it or not, I can tell the difference in fuel mileage between a skirted trailer and one without them. I lost nearly 1 mpg hauling this load in the POS trailer. WOOSAAA they will all be gone soon (at least I hope). Not much else to share, but it was really cool to meet ricky bobby and dogals...rickybobby and mickimause Thank this. -
I hope to meet you guys soon
i start 6-2-14 bringing my own truck into SNI choice -

Just got a phone call with some very sad news. One of my former co-workers and a man who mentored me as a training engineer, instructor, and OSR passed away this morning at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. I am in complete disbelief and so very saddened. Words cannot express how I feel...
