The checks wont start flowing in a while. 1.5 months and dont let them sign a lease on you.

They are right..Never Never lease a truck from any of those companies,,cr included. Your hubby wont make diddly if anything at all regardless of what cr tells him. They'll sell him the world on a silver platter then yank it back from him quicker then you think.

Figure during training he is only making enough to pay for food and supplies. Figure two or three weeks after he finishes his phase 2 training will you see a paycheck big enough to pay any real bills, if he got a company position.

    Howdy Slmr85!
    Welcome to TTR.

Don't be too surprised if the answers you receive also contain warnings about the scandalous business practices C.R.E. is famous for. If you haven't already done so, you really should take the time to read the numerous negative comments contained within other threads, --- and believe me, there are plenty of negative reports. If y'all are aware of what to be on the look-out for y'all might be able to avoid the wrath of the Sons-0-Chester. As I'm sure that many here will tell you,
DO NOT AGREE TO LEASE A BIG TRUCK WITH C.R. ENGLAND!!! --- unless y'all can afford negative paychecks while tryin' to make a dollar outta 99 cents.

This occurrence is frequently reported once C.R.E. is informed that there's no interest in signin' a lease for a Big truck. The classic bait & switch tactic. I sincerely hope that your husband doesn't encounter what a vast majority of former, and in some cases those presently caught up in a lease, have been reporting for years.

Please keep us posted, --- we're pullin' for your husband's success.

If he does manage to get into a company position he will probably gross $400-$500 a week for the first 6 months or so. And then once he learns how to turn/burn and learns what to expect from certain shippers/receivers his pay will slowly go up. But company drivers can have bad weeks too when the truck is in the shop for a couple of days.
