Good god this chick is softer than Charmin. Think I'm finally ready to drive past the train wreck and hit the ignore button.

Please stay the #### away from my great state of Michigan, thanks.

I think dairy hauling has it's problems but it's not bottom of the barrel. My company isn't the best either but I'm not better off stocking at Walmart. 60k at 50 hours per week, I'm more like 53k on 60 hours. 401k, I can't get until 10 years. Sounds like you have a better dairy hauling gig then I have. Do you get 2 days off per week. I have worked 6 days since the day I have started. I'm glad there are at least some better milkman gigs out there.

Im on a 6 and 2 schedule. Work 6, off 2 consecutive days. I honestly love that schedule. Most people only have saturday or half of saturday to take care of business needs before offices/stores close. Whereas a sat. Sun. Weekend only happens once every 5 weeks for me. The rest of my weekends fall on normal week days. You follow me?

Its rough when family has get togethers and parties and i gotta work, but then we plan parties for when im off on sat. And have everybody over.... it all works out.

401k after 10 years? Let me guess, the company doesnt match either? If that were the case..... GO POUND SAND BOSS! You gotta start saving for retirement as early as possible.

company only matches 3% so basically no. 3% is pretty bad. 10 years LOL, he does that because he knows most guys leave and now he doesnt have to invest into someone who is there 6 month or a year. this 10 year waiting period was never mentioned when i was hired, i didnt find out until i found out from one of the few drivers (maybe the only driver) that has been there long enough to actually be getting it. i have been there almost 5 months, so by most company standards (90 days) i should already be building a 401. NOPE. story behind that 15 year veteran of the company, he drove the bosses rig drunk and hit a cow, the boss got him out of it with a fancy lawyer since he was one of the few that stuck around. this was in the newspaper and my neighbor told me about it. he is a captive and cant go anywhere.

im going to go back to dump truck in the coming weeks, possibly where i worked in the fall. no more uncompensated crap. this was just a job to get me through and it did just that. i want an hourly wage with overtime after 40 hours. just like everyone else in every other industry expects.
