Another Fatal U-Turn In Florida

It happened 2 years ago. Was a woman truck driver and it was still absolutely dark outside. FHP said she was blocking the road so at minimum she couldn’t make the swing in one shot. Or stuck like you said.

Bottom line it was not clear, otherwise there would not be a car under the trailer. If you make a movement that requires another vehicle to brake at all your in the wrong. Probably not a good place to start with, but if you wait till its actually clear this would never happen.
Part of being a professional driver is keeping the motoring public as safe as you can, the driver of the car is probably not a professional commerical driver, by looking at the picture the truckdriver may not be either.

 

I dont believe in making excuses for CDL drivers, I believe we have a higher standard to live up to, and when we don't people die.

 

Inform the TTR U-turn police I'm a member.

 

this is not the first time i have seen one of those company trucks involved in such a wreck.

Also kinda looks like the landing gear is down.
