I am not a big fan of Pilot. Never have been. Their customer service is horrible. Too many other places for me to spend my time and money.

At a typical mom and pop you will have over 100 trucks in the lot and maybe a few handful of drivers go to the restaurant. We all have refrigerators and microwaves so we rarely eat out. It's not enough to support real quality food which is usually going to cost more than most drivers are willing to pay.

Gotta love the truck stops with the buffet. Watching the truck driver thats as wide as he is tall waddle back up to the buffet all night. Me, I'll walk to the bar and grill up the road and have a great night eating good food and talking to real people. I'm the same weight as when I started driving almost 6 years ago.

    I hate pilot too.
I like the mini casinos on I 10 la most have small bars I can have a cold beer if I have over 10 hours. I hate buffets also only those with no taste buds can eat off of them. Buffet food only good for producing feces.

It already had an overpriced subway..... Quiznos, Which closed down

I would call it a FAR stretch to of called the Cheetah T/S a "good" truckstop as well. They have tiny restroom and the so called "kitchen" ONLY had a buffet that had sat under the heat lamps all day. No thanks, I'll take a Pilot anyway over that hole.

Free market guys. That's what it is. A lot of people believe in the free market, why not when it comes to truck stops?? Can't have it both ways. Same thing with Denny's replacing a lot of the restaurants. It makes good business sense to Pilot. It takes away the expense of running a Restaraunt from them and puts it onto the other corporation (Denny's, Subway, etc). This is how Pilot got so big. American enterprise.
