Ok so I know the only way to really know is to call and ask a recruiter or safety officer at prospective employers but I figured I'd see if I'd just be wasting my time in doing so. On my 3 year report as of February 15 2017 I will have only 2 violations. One is 55 in a 45 in September 2015. The other wich is the one worrying me is 60 in a 45 in October 2014. I know some states consider this reckless driving but in SC it isn't considered reckless untill 25 mph over. As far as criminal record all I have is a seatbelt ticket from October 2016 as this is how SC records seatbelt infractions. I've been keeping my nose clean sinice last year wich ironically happened when I got lost trying to get to the dmv to get my mvr. What are my chances am I wasting my time?

Do you mean, are you hirable? The answer is yes, some companies will hire you.
Didn't you get your cdl a while back?A_C_Cooper Thanks this. -
As @Chinatown correctly said, you should be ok. However your getting close on your license points, slow down.

Sorry for the wall of text.
Tried with Western, they told me I was approved by safty and they had seen my records. Then 2 days before time to head to Nashville recruiter emailed me said my mvr disqualified me. The same one that I asked point blank "so safety saw and approved my MVR?" And she said yes. From that I learned how much recruiters lie and that prehires aren't worth the paper they are printed on. I also decided to give it a year for an accident and ticket to drop off the 3 year. Do you think getting a CDL through the local tech school would improve my hirability? I just want to check before I take out a 5k loan. -

It doesn’t really matter what your state sees as reckless driving, most companies and their insurance companies will see 15 over or more as reckless driving.
You should get your MVR record for a lest 10 years, not just 3 as that is what most companies will be looking at. -
A_C_Cooper Thanks this.

I'd go ahead and graduate from a school then companies will hire you. May not be the best, but it's a start and you can start building up experience on your cdl. Work for any trucking company until Oct. 2017 which will put that ticket 3 yrs. behind you, then dozens of companies will hire you. Try for some pre-hire letters now if you want.
TransAm
Carolina Cargo
Carolina Southern
USA Truck
Carolina Cargo is in Rock Hill,SC and they don't go by what's on the website. Do the online application and there's a 99% chance they'll give you a pre-hire. -
A_C_Cooper and pattyj Thank this.
