I just don't understand what satisfaction someone would get from doing that. Had something similiar when I was hauling cars and got stuck parking in a dirt lot near my house and had a buddy pull me with his dump truck. They should called and said I was saving the company money...ha

Oh MY GOD!!
Trucking is hard work?
Really?
Driving for a company is easy, you have 10 hours to sleep, you have a clock you have to work by and you have only the truck to be responsible for. -
Ya the trucking is hard work thing always cracks me up. I guess some people have never done any hard work.CanadianVaquero and KenworthGuyNH Thank this.

Ever drive a logger? Up @ 0200hrs beating the crap out of ya on some rocky goat trail on the side of a mountain. No air ride, mud and snow up to your /#!, thrown iron and Sliding down 17% grades. Thats just to get to your 1st load and the start of a +14 hr overloaded, run it hard on bald tires on 2 lane mt roads all day. This ain't no freight haul'n job ladies.

Those log trk drivers make me nervous as fed ex does driving thru the mountains.bottomdumpin Thanks this.

That would be awesomeness. I would love to drive a swift long logger into a truck stop. Watch the carnage ensue. Hahahaha.
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
But when they switch my sleeping schedule around constantly, it interferes with my Circadian Rhythm.
Yeah I know I'm a wimp compared to your average long haul driver. But I have a strong mind-body connection, and it's hard for me to "override" it.
So I'll just be looking for some local delivery work. I don't car what the vehicle is either, as long as it's air conditioned.Last edited: Sep 7, 2015
Chinatown Thanks this. -
You #######! That's my carrier that I'm stuck with because I assumed that it could never be "that bad."
But honestly western would probably welcome him with open arms. The flatbed division would love him. The best part is that we are in a slump atm so he would get all the rest he needs. Heck, if he works three months he can become a trainer with us.G.Anthony Thanks this. -
There is not anything wrong with you driver, otr trucking is just a REALLY lousy, stinking way to live one's lifeokiedokie and wbound_I10 Thank this.
