Ok, I'll bite since I work the deep south...
Explain "Stuck". Its a black top road... stuck? Certainly not bogged down on a black top road?
I didnt see the wheels "stuck" or bogged down..
I didnt see the truck "stuck" under a bridge railing/top or any object.
According to the story, many trucks get "stuck" on the Notch every year.
Explain "stuck".James j, JonJon78 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -

I'd like to think he saw the next bend in the road and knew he wouldn't fit. At least he had enough sense not to hang it in the ditch.
What happened to the back door? Cargo shift? He's going to need a ticket for that too.JoeyJunk, Sons Hero, Opus and 1 other person Thank this. -
Hard to find a good video on the subject.
This news report drones on about large vehicles becoming stuck and negatively affecting locals and the traffic flow, but does show large boulders which considerably narrow the route thereby causing trucks to become "stuck". -
Almost every single one of these drivers say they were blindly following GPS, which is never a smart move in a commercial vehicle.
Not only that, this road is CLEARLY marked as far as no trucks allowed.Gearjammin' Penguin, bzinger, Bud A. and 3 others Thank this. -
Ok thanks guys. The video along with your comments enlightens me. I appreciate it.
Bud A., JoeyJunk and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
I live about a couple hours away from that road. Smugglers Notch has hairpin turns that will get an 18 wheeler stuck because of the mountainous terrain-hence the massive fines issued by Vermont State Police!Bud A., JoeyJunk, Flat Earth Trucker and 2 others Thank this.

Out of curiosity, does your GPS ever try to route you up that road? I almost never believe these "my GPS did it" claims.mjd4277, dave01282000 and JoeyJunk Thank this.
