With everything covered in a blanket of snow it's very difficult to see the edge of driveways and such. This could happen to anyone. Looking in your mirror doesn't help with everything is buried in snow.

    Numb and CassND Thank this.

OK. So the shoots of grass poking through the snow wouldn’t indicate the edge of the pavement is right close? The deep indentation, that appears to be a ditch, wouldn’t be an obvious indicator? Please, tell us more.

That’s funny I wonder how the other 12 or so trucks that came in and out of the gate today manage to do it without , dropping the trailer in the ditch… By the way, when the driver left after getting pulled out by the wrecker. They mediately almost dropped it in the next ditch after that… That’s not paying attention to what your trailer is doing in your mirrors…

@drivingmissdaisy And then, on top of nearly dropping the trailer a second time in the ditch, the clown nearly put her truck in the ditch on the other side…

JoeyJunk and Tall Mike Thank this.

This was the majority of my calls back when I ran a heavy wrecker.
    And trailers hung on poles.
