Another Pete question. Now a charging problem

    96 Pete 379 3406b cat, alternator checked out good but we replaced it anyways and batteries are new but the truck isn't staying charged, it drains the batteries do what in the world is going on? We checked all wires etc and everything looks good.

    Ya we found a fuse blown for the alternator and replaced it and something started smoking so something is wrong. The motor was replaced so who knows I guess we need to find a wiring diagram for the alternator/starter to make sure all is in the right spot
