Antenna Fail Test

    Installed a new cb in my truck yesterday. Everything new Cobra 29 LX, wilson T2000, wilson gum drop mount, and new antenna cable. Installed it yesterday and everything worked but the antenna was going to be way too long for the truck and where I go. So last night I picked up a shorter fire stick and put that on the wilson mount once I put that on the radio is telling me "antenna warning" and if i do the antenna test it's failing. Not sure what could be wrong. Very new to CB's here. Thanks for any help
