Electrically the best metal is copper, the second best is Aluminium and the third is steel in any form (stainless, non-stainless, magnetic).

Once the aluminum starts to oxidize from salt water spray, it quickly loses its electrical advantage over stainless, which is why I prefer to go that route to begin with.
