    While it may be small and built on a ferrite core it is precisely a dual directional coupler designed to measure SWR. It is similar to a microstripline but dimensionally compressed.

    "Resistive Wheatstone bridges do not measure Standing Wave Ratio, they measure impedance difference from 50Ω. This is NOT the same as tuning (finding resonance)."
