You guys that have been doing this longer than me, opinion on tv antennas. Right now I have two, one is the flat "leaf" type the other is the rabbit ears with the window mount. If I am in a big city, usually no issues unless someone drives by. I found that with the leaf one (although it is recommended for indoors) if I run the coax out the window and slide the corner up under where the ferring attaches to the cab, I get better signal with fewer loss of signal when someone drives by. I figured if I could get the rabbit ear one somehow to stay up it might be better because of the height. Downside to these options, when I get ready to pull out, I have to take down the antenna and bring it back in. I saw one driver had a pvc pipe mounted with what looked like a boomerang on top. Another had the house style aerial mounted on a pole. My idea is to take some heavy duty pvc or lightweight tubing, attach it to the inside corner and run coax through the hole, under the sleeper and back in through where my inverter is run through at. I know my signal will improve, but what would be a good choice for antenna? Wife seen one at Wal-Mart that appears to clamp down with butterfly screws to a pole. I figure as long as everything is secure and I don't have it too tall I don't have to worry about height restrictions. But I just wanted to get a better antenna.

Looks like it might work a lot better. So couldn't tell from picture, but do you have to turn it or is it omni directional

Found out it isn't omni directional but since you use it brdtrk, did you have any problems getting a particular channel? In other words, did you spend more time tweaking the antenna than watching television.

It t takes about a minute to raise the pole. Spend 30 seconds on Google earth to orient yourself, use the remote to aim the antenna to the closest large town.

Ahh thought for a minute I would relive my childhood. One kid outside turning the antenna another inside saying "right there stop!" Lol
