Just curious do all swift trucks have that anti idle where it shuts off after 5 or so minutes of idling. My first truck did and I couldn’t stand it. Just got assigned a new truck that doesn’t do that. Now I get to relax in air conditioned comfort whether I’m driving or not very happy.

If I were you I'd keep my mouth shut on here and at work.
It might be a mistake in programming , you don't want to get called to a shop to fix it. Lmao.

By the way stay in the USA all our trucks are designed to shut off after 4 - 5 minutes i was amazed to find you can leave your truck running all night, most company bean counters when they realize how many gallons of fuel a truck will use through the night just to keep a truck's cab either cool or hot will have no problems in ordering a truck to be switched to auto shut down on average in 8 hours an idling truck will chew around 8 gallons so multiply that by the number of trucks in the fleet and you'll find thats a big incentive for companies like Swift to have trucks shut down over nite.

It’s because it’s summer. There’s a range (I think it’s somewhere between 15-80 degrees) where the truck will turn off automatically after 5 minutes or so. When the temps are above 80-85 then you can idle as long as needed. During the winter you are required to idle if it drops below 15 degrees (I think that’s the number).

Once fall comes around your truck will automatically turn off again.

Work for a #### company with an APU. You think those ####s at swift turn off their AC at night when sleeping, or heat in winter.
I'm all for saving the plant, money, wear and tear on my motor, but how in the he'll can one sleep good in the heat.
See trucks shut on and off, you know how bad this on a diesel and the emissions it puts out.

Yes, when the temperature gets above a certain set-point the truck will idle. Also in the winter, the truck will idle when it gets below a certain temperature.

I can idle if the temp is over 69 or under 34 degrees.
