I wouldnt trust chewing gum. I sure hope it was meant in jest.
So here is what I dont understand. Why in the world were you removing something that never needs to be undone?
The last fuel tank I worked on (100 gallon) the fuel pickup was welded to the tank. The fuel coming out of the tank screwed into the bung on the side of the tank to which the siphon had been welded. -
Pop a Bazooka bubble on your face back then, it'd stick to your face a couple days.
Now they got that new-fangled "safety gum" that won't hardly stick to anything.
