Tendinitis hurts. Having an infection treated with ABs is sometimes necessary, so what do you do? Sometimes you just end up getting hurt or at least hurting really bad.
-
YES, this goes for pets too.
MY VET put my DOG on CIPRO for an infection and told me about the tendons and joint issues with it and said we don't want to keep her to long on this antibiotic........sigh -
At least the vet told you, it's better that you knew ahead of time.
I usually find out more from the pharmacist than from the Doctor.
I don't know what it is about that one, must work really well on infections.
The information is relatively new, the side effect isn't on the old list, but further research tells me that a patient on a magnesium deficient diet is most likely to have that problem, or a patient taking a heavy overdose.
Calcium and magnesium tie up the product. The best activity is obtained with oral dosing at 2 hours after a meal. http://www.prostatitis.org/quinolonejoints.html
