No, they understand, hand. What they are really saying is they are jealous of people like you who do their due diligence. They have so many violations and charges that a union company won't even look at them.

Heck! I don’t blame drivers for insisting upon 100% drop-and-hooks, especially owner-operators. We have truck payments to make! These days, an increasing number of disrespectful clients simply waste our time, meaning we end up losing money. No wonder we grit our teeth whenever dispatchers send us on “live” loads.

If I ever find that 100% drop-and-load company with no bullsh—, I’m jumping on it faster than zits on a teenager! Otherwise, I’ll save up enough dough, get my own authority, and establish my own dedicated routes.
Since I am relatively new at this (I used to be an owner-operator back during the Turn of the Millennium, but that was a farm truck working under-the-table), I would be eternally grateful for any advice here. Thanks! -
