    A load like you have there makes keeping the segregation chart handy very important.

    And for that to apply it has to be the only freight on board.

    I may be misremembering;
    That was always a point of contention for me, only applies if only freight loaded AT that particular shipper correct?

    The way I saw it worded made me believe it was only if the singular quantity was loaded at one shipper, but left our the other part of having no other hazmat on board.

    Does this mean you switch the UN # placard to a generic class (x) when picking up additional/other hazmat at another shipper?

    Can't use dangerous to combine if one of the 2+ is over 2000ish or something?

    We have only hauled one class/load at a time so far, & therefore have never encountered this situation.

    I believe you’re thinking of the “dangerous” placard. You can’t run that one if you load 2,205 lbs or more of one class at one place.

    That’s not required, but you can.

    No. Each class over 1001 lbs needs its own.

    The vast majority of what I get is flammable, corrosive, or oxidizer, with the occasional radioactive yellow label III for nuclear densometers.

    Landstar sent out a fleetwide message last week.

    Fail an inspection with a hazmat load, you're suspended from hauling hazmat for 6 months.

    I'd pay special attention to your securement and segregation, but that's just me.

    Will there be a hazmat test at the end of this thread?

    If you fax your paperwork to landstar hazmat dept, they will go over everything and make sure your paperwork is in order for you. And they’ll ensure you have the correct placards.

    Matter of fact I think if you’re Inway you have to fax hazmat paperwork every time you haul hazmat.

    No. I'm in Inway. I've called twice out of the plethora of hazmat loads I pulled. Once was for lithium batteries installed in robots, that was a weird deal.

    I think ABF loads require you to faz the BOLS. FedEx you gotta scan the portion with the hazmat with your regular scan to be paid.
