Any advise for drivers with some experience but haven't driven for more than 3 years?

Update your profile with a specific city. Southern California's a big place. Best if you can hire on with someone that has a terminal near you if at all possible. How far are you willing to drive to get to the terminal? Do you have secure parking at home for a bobtail?

Do you want or are willing to work OTR?

They may require you to complete their training, but at least you would be getting paid something during training.

Right now, companies are hurting for drivers to the point that their "refresher" may be teaming you with someone for a week, then you'll get your own truck.

And don't dismiss Swift. Show your DM that you'll run, and they'll keep your wheels moving. Get your six months, and then you can go pretty much anywhere.
