thanks, @MysticHZ ... I've never even taken the "quantum leap" in my 20 years, either. I've got too much to show for all the company work I've done.
May I buy outright someday (soon?) sure, maybe, who knows. I'm in my comfort zone, as is.
It's the stuff he needs to hear, methinks. All he can think to ask is fuel discounts... and KLLM won't even answer his questions.~!
Good day, sir.

Lease op's are always going to be around, no worries. Learn the basics first.... then think again, would be MY suggestion.
Best wishes;

LTL is NOT a bad option, by any means. Had I not gotten this great tanker gig; would've gone that route myself. Anymore, they hire drivers right out of school, I hear.
Good luck, man. Let the L/P or L/O sit on the back burner for a bit. You'll be happy you did, in the long run.

1st don't do what your thinking about doing but we know your gonna do it anyway, so with that being said, SLOW DOWN to save fuel. No need to buy all the gadgets and additives that say they will sav you fuel. If they save any at all it will be eaten up by what they cost.
Get a fuel card from NASTC and only fill up in network. Learn how to wrench on your on truck and learn when it is appropriate or beneficial for you to do the wrenching or to take it in. Preventive Maint every time your at home will save you from being stuck on the side of the road. Others will tell you to take food from home and eat in the truck and with what your doing your probably going to eat a lot of Bologna samwiches or pb&j. Take care of your truck and it will take care of you. Don't drive 50 in the truck stop parking lots, makes you look like a rookie or a co driver that don't give a #### about their equip. Most are full of pot holes and slowly over time tear #### up. Don't buy used or retread tires, will cost more in the long run. Once again get experience and don't , I say again, Do not do a fleece purchase. If you can't afford or don't have the credit to buy one that could be a sign, Good luck -
