Any aftermarket ELD doing good for you?

Everyone seems to have problems with the blue tooth eld's.
Haven't heard of problems with hard wired units.

 

I use TransFlo T-7 ELD. Isn’t hard wired, isn’t Bluetooth, does a good job, I can count on it.

 

It got to be hooked up some how if it not blue tooth and not hard wired how is it connected?????????

 

It uploads to TransFlo servers via cellular data channels on its own cell account then the servers download to the app. on the tablet or phone instantaneously......

Between the ECM and Tablet is the Y cable plugged into the diagnostic port and connected to the ELD...small device bout half the size of a pack of cigarettes......

 

I’m using the VDO roadlog unit.
It was a little expensive but it’s cave man simple to use and works well.
I was lucky enough to get mine when they were still abords.
Now when you buy them they are ELDs only.
