Any agents from truckolicity here? Loadtraining does MANY clases where are the agents?

3 to 6 months to build a book of business is ######## try at least one year in order for you to even survive been in the business thirty five years and have seen to many without at least one year living expenses set aside fail.

 

I love the fact on how you stated the dummy loads to test the waters with shippers, carriers, etc. Awesome

 

Another trucker mad about brokers and on a rant. At the end of the day brokering isn't any easier than trucking. Period. I could make a very strong case for it being more difficult. Furthermore brokers serve a very important role in the transportation industry. If you'd ever had to get freight moved for a business you'd understand that well. If you call a trucking company directory you'll often get quoted at $2,000 more going direct than through a broker. They'll try to redirect a truck 400 miles out of the way to use their own equipment. I've been quoted well over $2,000 more before from a trucking company than a broker charged me.

But you're probably just driving because you're in it for the money, right?

 

Huh??? I drive because I grew up on a farm driving tractors as a kid. I love driving big trucks and it's all I ever wanted to do. I laugh at dumb fools who come into this work for the money and I don't whine about brokers at all. Can you point me to a single thread in 10+ years of posting here where I was whining about brokers??? I depend on brokers 100%. I'm not exactly friends with any brokers and I dont buy into relationships BS with them anymore but I dont cry about brokers.

 

Can confirm. I've never worked with @rollin coal - we're in different markets, but I'd work with him in a heartbeat.

 

I apologize Sir. I'm very new to this site and as such shouldn't have made such a comment, especially after re-reading your message and realizing I had taken it out of context. I had just seen so many people bashing brokers that I went out half-####ed and made a negative comment without fully pondering what you were saying.
