Had a disappointing tour of duty this time out following a stellar previous tour. Previous tour: August 1st thru August 26th, 26 day tour, mpd(mile-per-day) averaged 445 mpd.
Just completed tour: September 1st thru October 6th, 36 day tour, mpd averaged 370 mpd.
Also disappointed that I highlighted for home in Minden, La. (918 miles from home) on 9/28 and they didn't get me home until 10/6.

Well had a turn of events and I might be going to Conway instead of Prime. Just got off of phone with recruiter and could start as soon as the 17th in Joplin.

Two good carriers, Big. Either would be a good choice.

It's done...Christine called this morning from Conway...the wife and I will be in Joplin next Monday for orientation. Not looking forward to the 2 day bus ride though. Then its off to Crowder for the rest of the week and then we meet our finishers and hit the road...life is good!

Does your "ECU" refer to East Carolina University? One of my alma maters from a hundred years ago or so! :biggrin_2559:

Best wishes to you and enjoy the ride, Brunsco. Soon enough, you'll be wishing someone else would drive and you could ride and sleep for two days!:biggrin_25523:

The time I spent at conway truckload was great, there was ALWAYS freight (mostly ltl & expidited) until they teamed with cfi. I started to notice that my 3,000 mile weeks became 1,800 mile weeks. Even at .34 cpm the take was lots less fellas.

Passed the road test today. That T600 is a hell of alot different feeling than a freight shaker.
