Hello! Currently in CDL school and Conway is currently in the top 2 for me. I just had a few questions.
    1. I was told inverters are on conway trucks. How large are the inverters?
    2. Can we have refrigerators installed?
    3. Does anyone know the average miles per week a team would run?

    4. Does conway pay per diem?

    1. 1500 ( cobra I think)
    2. Most spots for the fridge only fit the cooler type but I've seen a 17" fridge that has a compressor on amazon . KW factory will set you back $500-$700 bucks
    3. I'd say teams avg 5500 ( I've personally hit 7900 in 7 days when I ran team)
    4. No per deim ( just claim the gov tax defection of $59 per day ..adds up over the year )

    navywill Thanks this.

Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks to everyone in this thread. This is by far the most positive thread I've seen regarding a company and pretty much made me decide to go with Conway. I should be starting school next week (although I already got my CDL...but that's another story), and have been in contact with Keturah to see about getting hired on. Looking forward to it!

So I got my confirmation to start school next Monday. Let Keturah know and she said she would setup an interview next week to setup orientation. Haven't officially been hired but sounds promising. Just wanted to know what the interview process is like so I can be prepared?

Are the T680s that Con-way has reserved for the teams only?

Been looking at con-way TL for a bit. I passed them over because they looked luke a mega fleet. They are big but their website boasts 42.5 cents per mile. Is that base pay or hyped up pay with things like bonuses and Northeast pay?

Looks as though if you are willing 3k miles is not out of reach. Hometime won't be an issue So I am looking at the higher end of an Average week. Bettter money than I am making now.

I have no OTR experience. But have operated various sideloaders and 48's and 53's with a an old 10 speed international daycab. Lots of power. Have pulled heavy loads starting out in 3rd. Would I go to orientation and then a finisher or would they just send me out?

I'm just inside the hiring area so Im guessing Jackson ville is the nearest place for orientation. Im in west central Florida.

Been following the thread on con-way drivers what's your 20? Very cool and picking up a lot of good info there. But did not want to disturb that threads flow so I hope some of you guys could answer some of my questions before I talk to a recruiter.
