Hello I have been driving 26 yrs,16 with 1 company. Can anyone tell me about the midsouth regional fleet? Like Home time and avg miles per week. I live outside Little Rock Ar and tired of being on the road 3-5 wks at a time, its time to slow down. Thanks for any info.
-
I've done relays with quite a few ppl heading home.
....I don't like you guys chewing off my miles BTW....
Guys I talk to say they get home one day a week
Sometimes two
Not always on time.
You do run Denver in that region. But don't think you go further north than Budweiser/Coors .
Hope you like Texas. Youd be there ALOT. -
Thanks... I don't mind Texas,it beats the NE. I have never ran regional,so I was not sure. I am still undecided..Thanks for your input.
paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Can anyone of you Conway drivers que me in on what size inverters are in their trucks?
Also, what's the idle policy and do you have to strictly abide by it?
Moreover, do the regional drivers get as many miles as the all 48 states drivers?
How many times have you drivers had to go into the boroughs of NYC, NY?
Overall what kind of shape are Conway's trailers in?
What kind of trucks are they handing out these days or is it random? I see Conway drivers with Prostars, Cascadias, KW680s, and 780 Volvos, although I believe the latter is only for teams. Are they mid roofs, double bunks, or a mixture of both? Also, I used to see KW660s too, but I haven't seen one of those in a while.
Hopefully you guys can answer my questions. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! -
Plead the 5th amendment. Anything I say could incriminate me.

1000W
Below 20°F & above 70°F idling approved. Some trucks now have electric apus or opti idle, otherwise only your conscience prevents you from idling when it is 60.
They tend to average a bit less
I never did in 18 months
Depends on how the last driver left them. On the whole, pretty good, but you'll have stretches where you're replacing lights & tires with irritating frequency.
I now have my own authority & pull a 16 year-old former conway/cfi trailer. So far it has passed a roadside inspection & hasn't been rejected by the ~70 shippers I've served to date.
They bought 550 trucks this year, 540 of which are automatic. I believe it was 200 Freightliner, 200 KW, 40 Volvo, & 10 13-speed manual International Prostars. All double bunk.paul_4lp and Trick or Treat Thank this.
