I'm thinking about leaving the oilfield behind and heading to System Transport this fall. Im going to be moving my family to Boise in September. I know they are out of Spokane but I'm wondering if they run through Boise and if anybody on the forum has any thoughts about them?

Never worked for system but there are some other companies in the Boise area you might take a look at if flatbeds are your game. AGL, Scott Fulcher trucking, and Gary Amoth trucking. I load along side drivers from these outfits pretty regular. I'm pretty sure they are all smaller than systems and they run in and out and through idaho weekly. Haven't heard anything other than normal truck driver complaints about any of them.

I am headed to systems transport in a week, I have done allot of research about this company and many others, can find only a couple complaints against them and if you study the complaints they are the individual with concerns more then anything else, ive talked to a few drivers who work for them and they love being there. They have nice maintained newer trucks, pay is on scale if not better then allot of the companies out there. It seems the drivers I have talked to average 2600-3000 miles a week so thats decent, they have 3 sides to the company, TWT(reefers) Systems(flatbed) JJ(tankers) and the nice part is if you want to switch between what divisions they have, its very easy to do so to try something new(oh and they run all over the place). They also have allot of extra pay incentives I noticed allot of companies do not have, when I talked to the recruiter she sent me a few attached lists of all the different divisions and what they pay, seemed to be a straight shooter. It might be worth at least calling and getting the info from them to compare to the other companies GR8 has listed, hope this helps a little, good luck to you!

Thanks for the info, I have only been driving tankers since I got out of school last September and I have had trouble finding flatbed companies that don't require 2 years of experience, I think System is the way to go, but I will check a few others just in case.

I've also been doing quite a bit of research into companies and have System Transport at the top of my list. I want to run flatbeds specifically and they seem to have a lot of recommendations from other drivers and I'm not finding negative stuff. The pay is above the norm in my area as well.

Everything I have read is positive regarding there company. I actually think I may try to start in their Tanker division in May if they have openings, and then transfer to flatbed once I have a year experience. I'm at 8 months with my CDL and don't have any OTR so I figure it might benefit me to transfer into something I know. Thank you for your service!

they will just send you out with a trainer for a couple weeks for some securemenet training since you have under a year experience and no flatbed exp.
