I saw on F2F’s website they use something called Big Road if you’re in an exempt truck. How does that work? Do you have to use that or can you just do it on paper?
Any carriers I can lease on to with paper logs?

I'm not sure I understand the situation completely. If you are running under your own authority why do you have to "lease" on. Are you suspending your authority?Brettj3876, Cabinover101 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

He’s not finding loads is probably why. -
That makes sense. I was confused because I'm independent but I haul for one company. I rent a trailer there and get my loads there also. Maybe a smaller operation could help out and not require a lease?LoneRanger and Cabinover101 Thank this.

Why would you rethink O/O just because not everyone is required to have an ELD?spyder7723 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

I've run paper since 75 in my 359's and 379's and had my own authority for 4 years now. I started the ELD a year ago and it's fine. Don't quite understand why would an authority want to lease onto another authority? Paper logs are a dinosaur waiting to die after the comet has come. Just go get ELD and stop fighting it. Running local, Ag, Glider or older truck isn't going to exempt you forever it's just a matter of time .... it's here to stay it's all about control... so evolve or die. The ELD if worked right you can run 7 days a week just run less than 8.5 hrs a day and you will recap 8.5 a day beating to 70 hour clock.alds, roshea, bryan21384 and 3 others Thank this.

It would take an Advanced Notice of Rule Change. Do you think they will bother when there are really so few trucks that are exempt? I don't think they'll bother.Twin Sticks, Cabinover101, starmac and 4 others Thank this.

If you really have been doing this since 75 then there was no need for you to ever go ELD other than you chose to. I've been doing this since 94 and I think I have a shot at not going ELD at all.
.... it's here to stay it's all about control... Words our founding fathers would never have spoken. You are follower not a leader.RubyEagle, fordconvert, MTN Boomer and 11 others Thank this. -
I don't know what to think. Trucking since both 75 and 94 is a very goodly amount of time. My hats off to both of you.
