I have been trying to follow the proposed hos changes that are set to start July 1st. Does anyone know if there are any changes to the 16 hour rule?

July 1 the only changes will be the required 30 minute break before the 8th hour, and the 34 hour restart of 1 restart every 7 (8?) days with the 2 periods of 0100-0500 within the 34 hour period. No mention of the one 16 hour shift per week rule.

    caliber Thanks this.

We have one truck that uses the 16-Hr rule every week. No changes from what I've seen.

Thanks to you all. Didn't think there were. Got some people around who don't take the time to find out what they are talking about but spread it around as truth. Always get good information here! :biggrin_25525:

Yeah I know...I mentioned that aspect in first post, then responding to the other post (1 year experience) gave the link to the emergency situation. Don't think he knows about the local/100 mile differences.
