Haven't driven for any of the above.
They were listed because they meet your requested items, and I see a good number of their rigs up in this area all the time...so apparently they are doing at least reasonably well. They aren't "megas".
A footnote: EPES Transport (in post #8, above) apparently pays an additional 25-cent per mile incentive--to drivers while running loads in the northeastern US.
Finally...a carrier who actually pays more for the tougher assignments.
EPES has a dedicated LOCAL route for dry van, out of their Valdosta, GA location.
So....depending on where you are along I-10, you could even be home daily.
--LualSouthern Highways Thanks this. -
Tyson has a facility in Jacksonville, and a dc in Haynes City. You could easily get southeast regional, or even a home daily position. I’m Springdale based regional and quite happy here. It s worth a chat with our recruiting department. Best of luck!

If you really wanna go after the big bucks....given your experience level & where you're located.....I feel reasonably confident that Walmart would LOVE to talk to you:
Truck Driving Jobs | Walmart Careers
Call them a "mega"....if you want....but the prevailing wisdom here is that this is a private fleet--and that's usually where the best driver jobs are.
With Wamart, you should in fact be home weekly. Dry van, or reefer duty--I would think you should have your choice, given your experience level.
The bad news: even though it's regional duty, you will still likely have to slip-seat....for quite a while.
Also--depending on your personality, you may (or may not) be able to handle the corporate culture there.
I spoke to a Walmart driver just after he delivered to a store in Tallahassee....a while back. He seemed really happy there.
I guess it just depends on your perspective, as well.

In your experience do temp agencies pay per hour or per mile? Are the hourly rates starting in the $30’s?
-
I only worked for one temp service and made $2.00 an hour more than the drivers at the company I was sent to. Temp service asked me to not discuss pay with the other drivers, so I didn't.
