I've been offered a local position with them, but am unsure if I want to make the leap. I like the company I am currently with, just not getting miles I need/want to justify staying OTR. I don't want to end up in an "out of the frying pan, into the fire" situation. Any insight would be appreciated.
Any current info on Ezzell out of Harrells NC?

that's a hard one. you can always try them out as a 90 day probationary period. and then decide weather you really want to be there or not.

I think they have a small terminal in charlotte.....I believe they just run in the southeast region...
-
I run with alot of their guys from Norfolk down US13 to Wilmington and everywhere in between those points. They seem happy and usually dont complain alot
RebelChick Thanks this. -
I would be running to Garysburg NC and Ahoskie NC and Chesapeake VA. I haven't seen many drivers, but I do know there are only about 20 that run out of Franklin VA anyway.

That sounds like it might be a wood pellet run. They are also building a pellet plant near Franklin
-
If you want to talk to alot of those drivers, go to the Hess mart on US13 south in Suffolk, that seems to be there designated fuel stopRebelChick Thanks this.

That's it exactly. I did my road test Saturday. Kind of odd to be driving a stick after being in an autoshift, but no big deal. Am still in the process of deciding if I want to go with them.

I just might do that. Or maybe get my husband to do it since I can't get home much. The only thing that I don't like is that you must start on night shift 5p-5a. I am not a fan of overnight shifts. It may be a couple weeks or even months before I could get to days. A little concerning since I already know from a previous job in corrections that my body doesn't do well between 2a-5a and I don't sleep well in the daytime. That being said, the money and benefits sound better so I am seriously thinking about it.
