Any current Moore drivers on here ?

They can take us out of Lordstown as far as I'm concerned. The runs are short and at 1.50 per mi you still don't make diddly-squat. Moore is moving on to higher paying freight anyway.

 

One of the biggest mistakes drivers make is they don't take the time to pick up the phone and call the customer for the best route in to places like this one. When you call for directions customers are always aware of the "do-nots" and will warn you where to stay clear of.

 

I worked out of there in 2009 for another carrier. I referred to that period as minimum wage car hauling. I recall that an 11 car Akron load paid a company driver just over a hundred bucks.

 

Yes 25 of my 31 years before a GPS taught me to call when going someplace new. Back when I could actually see my atlas without reading glasses I could navigate going down the road, looking at the CLC book searching for a hotel in an unfamiliar part of the country. That would be considered distracted driving today and I would never do that.

 

Usually after 4 voicemails on the contacts number the most useful information usually comes from the dealer receptionist. But I would never trust a non truck driver on what road is car carrier friendly. I have more faith in my smart truck app.

 

Wouldnt using chalks prevent that from happening?
